Vi’daru Ta

Seamus Flanagan meeting Thomel Varin

One of our favorite Glanvarian phrases is “Vi’daru ta!” — it means “Nice to meet you!” but it carries a little extra warmth, like a hug wrapped in syllables.

In Glanvaria, greetings aren’t just transactional — they’re blessings. When you say “Vi’daru ta,” you’re not just acknowledging someone’s presence. You’re honoring it. You’re saying, “It’s an honor to meet your soul.”

And if that doesn’t make you want to book a one-way ferry to Branvaragh and shout it from the misty docks… well, maybe you just need another sip of mead.

Try it out today. Say it to your barista. Your dog. Your reflection. Practice makes poetic.

Vi’daru ta, darling.
