Big news from the Citizens of Glanvaria!

To those who’ve noticed our quiet spell — we owe you an apology. Between the summer feasts, the festivals, and the odd ferry delay or two, our website updates have been slower than usual. But fret not: the Citizens have hardly been idle. We’ve been writing, rehearsing, and recording, and are at last ready to share what’s next.

First up: our new album, Ballads of the Throne, releasing everywhere soon.
This collection is close to our hearts, for it tells a story that shaped Glanvaria as we know it today.

It is the tale of King Roderick IV — son of Roderick III, but far from his father’s example. Where one ruled with wisdom and compassion, the other ruled with greed, stripping even the basics of life from his people.

The songs trace his downfall: the whispers of rebellion, the people’s uprising, the discovery of an heir across the sea, and the final, fateful duel when the ousted king tried to reclaim his throne — and was met in battle by our current sovereign, King Philip.

Threaded between these songs, you’ll hear interludes narrated by none other than Larry the Wizard. His flair for detail (and occasional flair for the dramatic) helped bring this chapter of our history to life.

But that’s not all. Larry has been hard at work this summer guiding another project — Larry the Wizard: A Rock Opera — a wild, magical chronicle of Glanvaria’s hidden folk. Expect that release in the near future as well.

And, if that weren’t enough, we’ve been collecting songs from all corners of the kingdom: little one-offs and festival favorites we can’t wait to share as singles. Perhaps the most infamous among them is Kaelen Dareth’s tender ballad Yak Turd Souvenir. (Yes, every traveler in Nava’tano Vale has left with one — but Kaelen swears his was special, if only for a few months.)

For those curious, Kaelen’s voice is the soaring tenor in our ranks — able to summon the thunder of a Kai’Torvanu chant one moment and break your heart with a Vale ballad the next. Truly, he’s the sort of singer who could make even a yak weep.

We’ll close with this: thank you for your patience, for your letters, and for your ears. We’re excited to bring you back into Glanvaria’s story.

Vi’kunu taka!
