You don’t just walk into Velthryn; You walk into Glanvarian History
Stone roads echo with ritual. Banners ripple above the royal seat. And somewhere between the whispers of tea-sipping elders and the clash of ceremonial blades, you begin to understand: this isn’t just the heart of the kingdom—it’s the mind.
What You’ll Find in Velthryn
Velthryn City – The capital of Glanvaria and the ceremonial seat of the crown. Home to Caelivar Hold, the Temple District, and the Obsidian Tower. [Learn more →]

The Grove of the Wise (Pakuna’kai Na’thun) – A sacred forest for elders, herbalists, and philosophers. This grove is more than a place for retirement—it’s a return to reflection.
The Obsidian Tower – Velthryn’s prestigious university, known for rigorous scholarship, magical theory, and secrets kept better than in most vaults.

Thunu’kai Ravan O Torvald – The kingdom’s military stronghold and nerve center for national defense. Don’t let the drills intimidate you—unless you’re planning something foolish.
Temple District – A sacred square where all four gods of Harmonium are honored. At its center: the Eternal Flame. Always lit. Always watching.

Ailani’s Bay – Named for Glanvaria’s first second in command, Ailani’s Bay is the maritime gateway to Velthryn. The Branvaragh ferry arrives hourly, and with it, comes crates of fruit, scrolls, and gossip.
Glanvaria International Airport – The modern edge of a timeless kingdom. Clean glass. Enchanted signs. Just don’t ask about travel delays during Yak Mating Season-not even airport staff are prepared to respond.

Local Flavor
Seasonal Dishes
- Pila’mava – Glanvarian Honey Bread. Sweet, golden, and officially certified by the Claire, the Royal Baker herself.
- Yak Milk – That from Hilda’s stall reigns supreme, of course. But substituting with milk from other yaks suffices too.
Signature Drink
- Golden Ale – Served in stone mugs during late-night treaty negotiations and birthday banquets alike.
Notable Folk
The King & Queen – Our current monarchs, discovered from a forgotten lineage. One sings. One attempts to better understand Hilda. Both reign.

Larry the Wizard – Magical Advisor to the Crown. Aspiring professional pinball player. His last name is not Potter, and he’ll be the first to correct you—firmly, and with a short lecture on copyright law and magical originality.

General Velkan Vord – A graduate of Kai’Torvanu’s Forge of Torvald, Vord is a master of military strategy and holds the reins of Glanvaria’s mechanized whale sharks. Yes, you read that right.

Lady Vira Nalthun – Grove herbalist. Scary wise. Often cures headaches with one soothing glance and a cup of tea.

Lore & Legends
Caelivar’s Ghost
The spirit of the first Glanvarian leader is said to walk the eastern parapet of Caelivar Hold at night. Legends claim he appears only to gallant monarchs in times of crisis—or to wandering poets in need of endings. He viciously haunts monarchs who carelessly flaunt their power and are poor leaders.
The Sacred Chamber
On the highest floor of Caelivar Hold, this chamber is said to be where the king is able to speak openly to an audience of the four gods. The wisdom he parts with often has great effect. Some rumors claim the king simply enters to take a break from it all for a little while.

Farewell from Velthryn
Velthryn is more than Glanvaria’s most bustling province—it is its backbone, its breath between decisions, and the place where legacy begins. It was here, atop the hill where Velthryn City now stands, that Caelivar himself declared that the kingdom’s greatest decisions would echo. It was here he appointed the first King of Glanvaria, and where every monarch since has looked to the wind, the flame, and the wisdom in stone to guide the path forward.
To leave Velthryn is not to leave power behind—it is to carry forth the Glanvarian legacy.
